Rathole

The town I grew up in was Athol, Massachusetts. If you put an R in the front, and an E at the end of Athol, you get Rathole.
This town was truly a beautiful place, nested in a valley with a river, surrounded by forest in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. However, the best job in town for someone like me was a fuel technician at Dennis's Citgo. Hence the question, "Has anybody made it out of this town? It seems the only way out is upside down!"
Lyrics
Has anybody made it out of this town? It seems the only way out is upside down. Mary can you take me out from this place? This is the only way out of this pain. I’d better get out. Sister can you twist a better destiny? It’s just the kiss resisted leads to jealousy. The power-blind are wiser than a death in the sky. It takes a wasted life to open up your eyes.
Recording Notes
This song was really just an excuse to play with my Big Muff fuzz pedal. It is so nice. When I try to describe the tone this pedal gives, all I can think of is chocolate milk.
