A song about longing for someone who is not here.
Lyrics
I remember you when you were locked up and chained and all I remember you when you ran around screaming out “Am I the only one in here?” Yesterday we were laughing and singing out Yesterday you were all I could dream about And I’m dreaming now I’m dreaming You used to be my inspiration, my well of life You used to take my load off of me with a sigh And say, “Sleep now" The other day we were tangled in a twisted bed The other day I fell asleep playing with your hair And I’m dreaming now I’m dreaming The only thing I can think of is yesterday I wonder if you’ll think of me anyway Am I the only one dreaming? But I can dream, I can dream of our twisted bed I can dream of caressing you in our bed Lord I’m dreaming now I’m dreaming
Recording Notes
This song has djembe and tons of harmony tracks. The whole point of this song is the harmonies, really.
I could definitely see myself redoing this recording. That would be very fun. I could see replacing the drums completely, possibly adding some piano and guitar harmonies too.
