Little Hole

I'd say this one is a banger. That is about as confident as you are going to see me get about my own music. Is this my best song? I don't know, but it might be my best capture of the energy of a freshly written rock tune. High energy, driving guitars, I got the drum machine into a decent place, and the vocals are playful. It got a decent reaction from those who like my heavier stuff.
The hole in question here is the sense of emptiness one feels when lonely. It is absolutely written to lead you to think dirty, but that is not the true meaning of the song. The subject of the song sees someone who is lonely and steps in to fill that hole, but is left in the end, ironically meaning that he just took the hole and made it his own.
Lyrics
Since you have no self control I guess I’ll help you fill your little hole Oh oh... Deep inside you feel some pain Well, I can make it good again Oh oh... Plain in face but sweet to taste I have to say you fill my little hole Oh oh... Looking back you left a clue I’ll always have a piece of you Oh oh... I can help you I can feel you I can help you fill your little hole Oh oh... Say, say, say, just say your name I’d love to give my pain a name Oh oh... There you go, with you my soul I always thought I’d be the one to go Oh oh... Stay, stay, stay, give me one day Before I’m left here to decay Oh oh... I’m left here with no control Now who will help me fill my little hole? Oh oh... I can help you I can feel you I can help you fill your little hole Oh oh...
Recording Notes
Drum machine is front and center here. The guitars are fun too. I play with dissonance a lot on this, especially the guitar solos in the middle of the song. That solo requires the multiple guitar parts playing together to work. I'm not sure it would work live unless two guitarists worked out what I did on this recording in multiple tracks. That would be fun to do though.
This is one of those songs that is wicked fun to play. You gain so much when you feel it resonating in the body while performing it.
