Coffee In Heat

I used to sit down at a coffee house in Savannah Georgia, and would occasionally fall in love with the women who would walk past. Often it would be nearly 100 degrees and humid, but I'd be there drinking coffee anyway. Sometimes, I would stop into the bar and get an adult beverage too. Some of this song is hinting at the idea that neither coffee nor daiquiris are appropriate in that sort of heat.
Lyrics
Hey you Don’t pull me under Drinking your coffee in the heat ‘Cause I’ve been drinking too So don’t pull me under Spreading your wings out over me ‘Cause I’ve been drinking too I might until I’m blue Like you Look at you, Looking good in blue Hey you Don’t run me over Clicking your high-heels down the street Tonight I’m drinking you And I’ll win you over Drinking our coffee in the heat And I’ll be drinking too I might until I’m blue Like you Look at you Looking good in blue
Recording Notes
Straight up rock tune, so mostly just guitar, bass, and programmed drums interacting. Big muff is heavily featured in this track. I also played with silence more than I tend to. I like how that worked out.
