The Reaper

The Reaper cover art
Description:

The second album I recorded at home. On this album I allowed myself to get as heavy as I wanted, which posed new challenges for me in terms of getting good mixes and figuring out how to make viable arrangements. Not all of the songs are heavy, but that flavor is present often enough. I would say that this album has its fun moments, and it served as great practice leading up to my later work on The Sons of the Maker album. One standout is Little Hole, which I feel came out very well for a guy who was still learning what compression meant. I was finished recording these songs before I became a father. So this album is older than Miles by a year or two.
