This dragonfly drawing is meaningful because it is the first image I sold a print for. It is also a drawing of a specific dragonfly that my father gave me. A bit morbid, yes, because it was dead, but it was also still beautiful. I challenged myself to use the reference, but not be driven by the reference, so I used the proportions, but left the wing patterns to stylized improvisation. I think it looks very nice above a piano.
